I’m sorry you haven’t seen snow. We don’t get much here, really. So, when it does snow I try to play in it as much as possible. Because I’m homeschooled, my mom let’s me! I have to make up classes later.

I didn’t know that what you called it–sublimation. But I knew it was possible. It’s not cold enough here to work. My mom says I’ve become a true Oregonian because I think 70’s is hot and she says that’s not hot in comparison to where you live. Does it get cold enough where you live to do the sublimation trick? Snow is fun. When I was your age you couldn’t keep me in the house when it snowed. When I played in the snow, I never seemed to get cold. You know its cold, but you just don’t seem to mind. Do you feel like that? I agree, even the science of snow is fun.

Driving in snow is a different matter, especially if its rained, the rain water is turned to ice, and then its snows. You have drive very carefully and skillfully.

Have you heard of sublimation? I remember my mother would hang wet clothes out in the winter (sky overcast and the temperature below freezing). They (the water) would freeze. After while (maybe two or three hours) she would bring in the clothes and they would be dry. The ice had turned directly to vapor without melting. This is called sublimation. This is when a liquid is in its solid state, but goes directly to its gaseous state without passing through its liquid state. You are right science is fun.
